Break Out Super Sleuths | Grades 1 - 3 | Week 6
We will unravel codes, lift fingerprints, and hunt for clues as we learn to be super sleuths. Each afternoon will culminate in a break-out simulation as our team puts its skills to the test to unlock a series of locks on our Breakout.edu box and solve a mystery.
CAMP INSTRUCTOR: Regina Puleo is an English teacher at Springside Chestnut Hill's Middle School for Boys. She's also the mom of two SCH students (grades K & 3), who love to play spy, solve mysteries, and put together puzzles. She's returning to run a camp based around Breakout.edu's Breakout Box, which she's used in the classroom and at camp, and she's excited to work with our youngest campers to build school-ready skills. Regina has always been captivated by the magic of story books, and her shelves are overstuffed with her classic childhood favorites and the latest budding authors and illustrators. She studied for her M.A. in Children's Literature at Hollins University, and she's eager to use her favorite story books to create activities that make learning fun.
