Mighty Authors: The Art of Writing | Grades 3 - 4 | Week 8

Artists and writers unite! This one-of-a-kind camp will be bursting with creativity, exploration, observation, writing, and fun! Campers will explore how an artist's decisions about their pictures are a lot like a writer's decisions about words. Their thinking will deepen as we analyze famous works of art from artists such as Picasso, Matisse, and Degas. Every camper will design and publish a unique hardbound book full of artwork and writing.

Campers will get messy with art and refined with writing. The best of both worlds! This camp will ignite curiosity
and imagination while boosting skills.

This camp will be instructed by Tayler Fay.  Ms. Fay is a first grade teacher at a charter school in Philadelphia. Originally from Florida, she moved to Philadelphia to pursue a Bachelors degree in education from Temple University and a Masters in reading from Saint Joseph's University. Before teaching first grade, Tayler was previously a Preschool teacher, Kindergarten teacher and a Reading Specialist. She loves anything creative, animals and exploring the city!
